New Classes for JS7 Freestone Spring Championship

December 2, 2013 (Wortham, Texas) – The 4th Annual James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship presented by Parts Unlimited and THOR brings the top amateur riders back to Texas for the largest AMA sanctioned event in the Lone Star state.  The meet will be from Tuesday, March 18th until Saturday, March 22nd.

Starting today, registration opens and with fewer classes and a new class structure, Wortham, Texas will be the place come the spring of 2014.  Starting with the youngest of riders, the meet will offer new classes such as a 51cc 4-5 and 51cc 6-7 age group.  Other new classes include the Schoolgirl 12-16 to complement the WMX 14+.  Changes for 2014 include a three-moto format for the 250 and 450 A Pro Sport classes.  The final big change is offering a “B” Main for riders 41-80 at no additional cost.

Part of the uniqueness of the Freestone Spring Championship is that every class champion is exclusively invited to ride at the “Champions Ride Day” with James Stewart himself, at his house in Haines City, Florida and as part of the American Motocross Championships, the meet gives riders a set of standardized AMA classes and rules for all ages and skill levels along with an opportunity to race on an AMA Pro national track.
