Memorial Moto Mayhem
Once per year, the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Championship comes to Texas. On that same weekend, Freestone gives everyone a chance to race on the track of their desires.
Starting on Friday night, the finale of the Texas Night Series comes to Freestone County Raceway’s famed night track. Get in early as gates open at 9am on Friday. Friday is the Texas Night Series SHOOTOUT (North vs South). Each series will compete four rounds with the fifth and final round at Freestone. Opening ceremonies begin Friday at 5:00pm.
On Saturday, the Pro riders of the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Championship hit the challenging Freestone Raceway. The schedule starts with practice and qualifying for each class (250, 450 & Womens Pro) from 8:30am – 12 noon. The 1st Moto of the WMX and Consolation races for the 250 and 450 classes will take place before opening ceremonies. Then at 1:00pm, the toughest 40 riders in the world go bar-to-bar for 2 Moto’s in each class. Gates open on Saturday at 7am so come early and enjoy a great day of racing!!!!
Note: No EZ-Ups will be allowed inside the tunnels. Check Maps section for designated EZ-Up areas.
On Sunday, the EVO US Vet Invitational is at Freestone County Raceway.
As soon as the sun rises on Sunday & Monday (May 27-28), the AMA Women’s Motocross Cup (not affiliated with WMX) and AMA Amateur Days/Pro Am kick off for two days of intense racing as some of the nations top amateur riders compete on the Freestone Raceway Pro National track. Riders from age 4 to 50 years throw it down. Practice will start at 7:30am with racing beginning after practice.
Online registration will begin on Monday, May 7th until Monday, May 21st (11:00pm). Online Sign Up gives you the option to pay by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover.
