AMA Texas Winter Series – Freestone Raceway
July 28, 2015 (Wortham, Texas) – With the summer heat upon us, MARK YOUR CALENDARS because in 5 short months the 15th Annual Honda of Houston/FMF AMA Texas Winter Series will be here. The 2015 series will be kicking off with the traditional New Years Eve weekend at Freestone Raceway.
Tagged as the Largest, Richest, Roughest, Toughest …….. Funniest Series in Texas, the AMA Texas Winter Series will test a riders concentration just like the heat does. The winter weather rarely cancels a race so the conditions test a riders toughness and mental fortitude. Average entries this past season exceeded 600 entries per round and with classes offered to Beginners, the all new 51cc 4-5 and 6-7 age group classes, age group 250 Novice 12-16 and 250 C 17+ and the return of the Vet 25+ A, everyone has someone to compete against.
Since 2000, the series is the longest running AMA series in the Lone Star state and races youth (mini) classes on Saturday and big bikes on Sunday. Each track will offer an early registration discount to aid in minimizing your time at the tower once you arrive.
