March 13, 2017 (Wortham, Texas) – In only 7 days riders from around the world will descend upon Texas to compete for the first “major” AMA amateur motocross event of the year. Today is the final day for “Early Registration” for the 7th Annual James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship presented by Parts Unlimited and Thor. Registration online remains open until 11pm tonight.
Riders have started their 2017 journey on the east coast for the one and only major amateur “supercross” event at Daytona. Next week it will be on to Texas for motocross supremacy. Who will emerge? Who will show new speed? Those questions and many more are about to be answered.
For the Texas riders, the JS7 Freestone event is the one time of the year that entire motorcycle industry comes to the Lone Star state. The factories of Cobra, Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki and Yamaha all come with parts and knowledge to assist each and every rider. It’s also a chance for local riders to be seen on their home soil at Freestone Raceway.
The JS7 Freestone Spring Championship also features the AMA Womens Motocross Cup and Round 2 of the WMX Pro Series. These unique classes provide opportunities for the girls and ladies to showcase their talents in front of industry insiders.
If for some reason a rider cannot get registered today, post registration will open on Monday, March 20th at 7am at Freestone Raceway. For more information about the Freestone Spring Championship and the AMA Womens Cup, look under the “events” tab.
