May 9, 2011 (Wortham, Texas) – Online registration is open until next Monday, May 23rd for the Memorial Moto Mayhem weekend at Freestone. The Memorial holiday is known as the greatest weekend for motor racing in the United States. It is only fitting that the two-wheel world will turn it’s attention to Texas.
The Rockstar Energy Freestone National on Saturday, May 28th is one part of four great days of two-wheel dirt action in Texas. Kicking off the weekend on Friday, May 27th will be the FMF Texas Night Series at the amateur night track.
Then on Saturday, May 28th, all the focus will turn to Freestone Raceway as the top professional motocross athletes in the world hit the ever demanding Texas soil. Round 1 of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship kicks off this weekend at the Hangtown Motocross Classic in California. With an epic Supercross season, who knows who will come out on top.
Then Sunday, May 29th, there will be FOUR different events on three different tracks. The Women’s Cup (Girls Youth & WMA Pro’s) and Amateur Day (Youth & Beginner) racing will be on the national track while the Vintage MX Classis and Freestone Off-Road Championship will be banging bars on their own courses.
Then on Monday, May 30th, the national track will be active with all the amateur big bike racing of the Women’s Cup and the AMA Amateur Day. Monday is also a Pro/Am day so the newest expert riders will be going at it for their Pro/Am points in getting a professioonal AMA license.
