May 6, 2013 (Wortham, Texas) – Today begins early registration for both the AMA Womens Cup and the AMA Texas State Motocross Championship at Freestone Raceway on Memorial weekend, Saturday, May 25th through Monday, May 27th. Online registration will remain open from now until Monday, May 20th at 11pm.
The schedules for each will offer great track time on the Freestone pro national track and additionally the Womens Cup will have a three moto race format to compete for the AMA Womens Cup championship. Starting on Saturday, May 25th at 8am, practice will be conducted with two full rounds for Cup and State Championship classes. Then at 11am on Saturday, the gate will drop for all the AMA Womens Cup classes for their 1st moto.
Sunday, May 26th, one round of practice will begin the day after which all Cup and State Championship MINI classes will be racing. For the AMA Womens Cup classes it will be their 2nd and 3rd moto’s with the AMA Texas State Championship (2 moto format) mini classes having their 1st and 2nd moto’s.
Then on Monday, May 27th all the big bikes will hit the Texas soil as the day begins with practice. The AMA Womens Cup will have their 2nds and 3rd moto’s while the AMA Texas State Championship will be facing off in their 1st and 2nd moto’s along with the AMA Pro Am for the 250 and 450 A Pro Sport classes.
