February 17, 2016 (Wortham, Texas) – Riders from Texas and abroad will find drastic track changes coming to Freestone Raceway for the finale of the 16th Annual FMF Texas Winter Series on February 27th and 28th. Adding to the drama of the AMA “Featured Series” #1 plates being awarded, the finale will also serve as the “warm-up” for the 6th Annual James Stewart AMA Spring Championship coming in March.
The iconic “Texas 12 Pack” have been redesigned for the final round of the Winter Series. Riders will find an all new chicane (right, then left) at the end of the famed obstacle. Now riders will clear the “cemetery hill” jump followed by the “wall”. After the wall, the 12 Pack will go straight until the riders reach the new 2-lane chicane. Once the riders leave the chicane, it will lead them straight into the face of the finish line.
Early registration is now open until 11pm on Tuesday, February 23rd. Save yourself time in line and money in your pocket to get registered now. If you cannot do it before then, registration at the track will open on Friday, February 26th from 5-7pm.
