January, 10, 2013 (Fort Worth, Texas) – We do not need to wait until 9am Friday. The second round of the Honda of Houston/FMF AMA Texas Winter Series at Village Creek MX Park is “GO” for this weekend, January 12th and 13th.
Crazy you say? I know but the weather forecast on AccuWeather.com is only calling for 1/10th of an inch around 3pm Saturday in the D/FW area. Prior to that it calls only for mist starting on Saturday morning. The bulk of the storm that is in Utah now is headed toward the Black Hills in the Dakota’s.
For our Sunday riders, it is going to be sunny and cold so visit your local Wal-Mart and buy some of those hand warmers that slide in your gloves. They really help keep your knuckle and fingers warmer.
And to all of you pre-entry riders, Village Creek will not process you CC until you get there. Check the VillageCreekMX.com website for gate times on the Weekend Schedule page.
Don’t forget that if you missed the first round, don’t worry about the points because the best four of five rounds count for your series points. No matter how much anyone scored two weeks ago, you still have a chance to get in the series.
All of the OEM’s have contingency including Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, and Yamaha. Cobra pays for the overall in the series. No matter what brand you ride, everyone pays. The series also offers a total of $15,000 in Pro Purse money as each round is a Pro-Am ($3000 per round x 5 rounds).
As the series title is names, this is the Texas “WINTER” Series. Safe travels to you all. NOW LET’S GO RACING!!!
