January 31, 2017 (Yantis, Texas) – The 17th Annual FMF Texas Winter Series has four points-paying moto’s left for the series overalls awards but that won’t matter this weekend (February 4th and 5th). Riders are coming from all corners of the country to take another shot at the Texas riders and with the addition of Johnsonville MX Farm added to the series, everyone has had this date marked on their calendars for some time.
Early registration closes today (Jan 31) at 11pm and with the added attention to Round 4, the greatest way to help the registration line at the tower this weekend is to have your papers already filled out waiting only for you to sign. Since today is the last day of the month, riders should remember to check their AMA membership as well since expiration’s are at the end of each month.
Johnsonville MX Farm has also staffed earlier than normal to accommodate parking in the daylight. Gates will open at 12 noon on Friday, February 3rd. With a little down time some may chose to bring a fishing pole and enjoy one of the greatest bass fishing lakes (Lake Fork) in Texas.
If you are watching the weather before you haul, so are we. We will make an announcement on Thursday morning at 9am CST only if (IF, IF, IF) their is a change. The forecast has changed so much that we don’t see a change in the race schedule however stay in touch with us by watching our post IF their is a change.
