FMF/WC Division Standings

February 17, 2011 (Wortham, Texas) – When the series started this year, it began a new decade.  With that new decade, new sponsors stepped in to do some new things.

The FMF/Works Connection Division championship is based upon one displacement and the riders that compete in that division.  There are 6 total divisions made up of 50, 65, 85, 250, 450 and Vet’s.

The Vets classes are sponsored by Alpinestars and Scott USA but the same rules apply for all divisions.  The rider with the most accumlated points within a division is the champion.  No other calculations are made.  A rider does have to compete in 3 of 4 rounds to be eligible.

Take a look at the link below for a list of riders who are eligible.  One champion has been crowned since Round 3.  Vann Martin has already clinched the 450 division championship so CONGRATS to him.  All the other division will come down to the wire in last moto this coming weekend at Freestone for Round 4 of the the AMA Texas Winter Series.

The winner of the division will win a Works Connection bike stand and a FMF Slip-On.  Look for more information in another post in regard to the Vet division.  Just remember that this has nothing to do with Class Championships.  Each class will have its own champion and can be found under “Results.”
