New for Texas in 2013

November 15, 2012 (Wortham, Texas) – As things change, things evolve and for 2013 the AMA Texas State Championship (TSC) and AMA Women’s Motocross Cup (WMC) are no exception.  Both events will be held on Memorial weekend, May 25-27 on Freestone’s national track.  An organized practice day will be conducted on Friday, May 24th.

New for 2013, the AMA Texas State Championship will conduct qualifiers in four regions of Texas.  All four qualifiers will be on the weekend of May 4th and 5th.  At the region events, youth classes will compete on Saturday with amateur (big bike) classes competing on Sunday.

Also new for 2013, the AMA Texas State Championship will be a three-moto format.  If that was not enough, the AMA Women’s Motocross Cup will be held in conjunction with the TSC.  The Women’s Cup is made up of 20 classes and offers classes starting from 50’s to Vet classes.  The WMC will also be a three-moto format.

“We are excited to offer amateur riders a facility that professional riders come to expect” said Tony Miller.  “This is a new chapter of racing for Texas and we will provide the riders the type of coverage that will showcase their talents around the country.”
