December 30, 2015 (Wortham, Texas) – January 1st brings about new rules and in the state of Texas we can now “open-carry” firearms as of Friday. At Freestone we are having to bring about restrictions for 2016 in regards to water conservation. We have taken steps to cooperate with our local public utility that supply water to Miller Ranch and our neighbors in Wortham.
Starting with the opening round of the FMF Texas Winter Series, racers will only be able to wash bikes at the designated areas. Freestone Raceway will have up to 16 different locations located around the parameter fence of the Pro Pit area. Each of the 16 stations can connect up to 5 power washers. We encourage you to bring your own power washer however the Yamaha Power Products station will offer two (2) Yamaha power washers that are located near the EMT station.
The other big change is that water connections will no longer be available in the Pro Pit area and that no RV’s will be able to hook up to fill water tanks. RV’s must now come filled before arriving at the Miller Ranch. The best location to fill up with water before arriving is at the Loves Truck Stop in Fairfield. Freestone has always provided this service free for years however the local community is finding a drop in water pressure when events are being held. This is a fluid situation and we appreciate your cooperation.
