February 21, 2017 (Wortham, Texas) – The 5th round of the 17th Annual FMF Texas Winter Series is the LAST regular race weekend on the national track in 2017. After the #TWS17, it’s the JS7 Spring Championship in March, then the Loretta Lynn Regional in June and finally the Moto Masters Vet Series in October. That’s it. That is the only races on the national track so with highs in the mid 60’s on Saturday and the lows 70’s on Sunday, Texas riders will compare their best to the best coming to Freestone for the JS7 Warm-Up.
It all comes down to this weekend, February 25th and 26th. The FMF Texas Winter Series finale at Freestone Raceway will provide some of the closet points races ever in the series. Never in the 17 year history has so many riders stayed in the series to compete for overall awards. When you look back at the Wall of Fame, you see many top names that came through the series. To top this weekend off, this weekend also serves as the WARM-UP for the James Stewart AMA Spring Championship held in March.
Early registration ends at 11pm today (Feb 20th). Taking advantage of your paperwork being filled out will also help reduce the time in line once riders are at the track. Gates will open at Freestone Raceway at 5pm with registration opening at the Bell Tower on Friday (Feb 24th) at 6pm.
