Texas Winter Series Schedule is UP!

November 18, 2015 (Wortham, Texas) – One thing is true in Texas and we like to think “BIG” when it’s time.  With just over one month until the Honda of Houston/FMF AMA Texas Winter Series starts its 15th year of fierce competition, it could not be more exciting.  Billed as the Largest, Richest, Roughest, Toughest ……Funniest motocross series in the state of Texas, it’s provides riders of every skill and age to participate in a tradition that dates back with riders like Trey Canard, Blake Wharton and others who participated over the last decade and one-half.

The AMA Texas Winter  Series also gives the Texas riders a gauge of how they stack up against some of the up-and-comers in the amateur ranks.  Riders from over 30 different states participated and will again be coming to Texas to try their luck before the James Stewart AMA Freestone Spring Championship comes to the Lone Star state.  As an example, with SIX different 50/51cc classes and NINE different Vet classes, everyone has someone to race against.  Beginner are not left out either.  Every round of the Texas Winter Series will also serve as the kick-off for the AMA Pro-Am qualifiers to showcase the best amateur Experts bidding to acquire their professional licenses.

Below is the complete weekend schedule and information for Round 1, January 3rd and 4th at Freestone Raceway.  As with many years in the past, small bikes will race their two-motos on Saturday with big bikes racing on Sunday.  Early registration will begin on Monday, December 15, 2014 (https://secure.tracksideonlineresults.com/freestone/).  For complete series information, go to http://67.205.147.236/racing/events-2/texas-winter-series/.
