Update: Track Conditions at Freestone

May 27, 2015 (Wortham, Texas) – It is amazing to think that many towns and cities in Texas have received their entire year worth of rainfall in the first five months of 2015.  There is no city in the United States that could withstand 12 inches of rain in six hours as Houston did on Sunday night and not have some water issues.  It might be hard to believe, but most people in Texas do not ride horses to work.  With that being said, most motocross tracks in Texas are not under water either.

Ever since the James Stewart AMA Spring Championship, the track crew of Bryan and David Burnett have worked to continue to raise the track above grade to help shed any rain.  The track has not been raced on since the March event thus the track has remained sealed tight since then.

The same crew have worked to develop new drainage for the Pro Pits but there will be soft areas as you can imagine.  All the staff can do is to ask for everyone to bring your patience and cooperation.  Everyone at Freestone Raceway is eager to see everyone for the Loretta Lynn South Central Amateur Regional Championship!
