January 29, 2015 (Wortham, Texas) – The 5th Annual James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship presented by Parts Unlimited/Thor is coming this March 17-21, 2015. The event brings all the top amateur riders from around the U.S. and abroad to this tiny little town in Texas once per year.
Last year, the event promoted the Pro classes at a set time each day. For 2015, the event will offer four classes. Returning will be all three 250 A, 450 A and Womens Pro (WMX) with the addition of the Open Pro Sport class. The 250 A, 450 A and Open Pro Sport will be gain valuable track time on the former pro national track with a 3-moto format. The WMX will have their “timed practice” and 2-moto format all on Saturday, March 21st. Suggested and inspired by Chris Alldredge, the new schedule will rotate the classes from each day schedule to allow different track conditions for every class.
All of the racing will be available through LIVE video streaming and LIVE audio through the exclusive Freestone iPhone App FREE from the App store. Adding to the uniqueness of the event, the Spring Championship offers every class gate picks based off their laps from “timed practice”.
