Women’s Cup Supported by KTM USA

May 16, 2012 (Wortham, Texas) – Freestone County Raceway, LLC is proud to announce the support of KTM USA for the 2012 Women’s Motocross Cup at Freestone Raceway in Wortham, Texas on Memorial weekend from Sunday, May 27th through Monday, May 28th.

“KTM is very excited to offer contingency to the girls and women that will compete in this year’s Women’s Cup.  It’s exciting to see more and more women of all ages begin racing each year and KTM is excited to be able to give back to these ladies,” remarked KTM’s Sport Marketing Manager Christy LaCurelle.

The Orange Brigade has come on board for 2012 Women’s Cup with overall payouts exceeding $4000 as part of its support.  The classes KTM will be paying out for include:

  • Girls 50 Stock 4-8
  • Girls 51 Stock 4-6
  • Girls 51 Stock 7-9
  • Girls 51 Stock 4-9
  • Girls 65 7-9
  • Girls 65 10-12
  • Girls 65 7-12
  • Girls 85 9-13
  • Girls 85/150 12+
  • Girls Supermini 12-16
  • Schoolgirl 12-16
  • Collegegirl 16-24
  • Womens C
  • Womens B
  • Womens Vet 25+
  • Womens Vet 35+
  • Womens A/Pro Sport

The Women’s Cup is part of the entire Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross weekend at Freestone.  The Women’s Cup is an AMA sanctioned event.  Gates Open early on Friday, May 25th at 9am.
