March 9, 2015 (Wortham, Texas) – Freestone Raceway is excited to announce the return of the Oakley O-Lap Award during the week of the 5th Annual James Stewart AMA Spring Championship presented by Thor/Parts Unlimited, March 18th-21st. The O-Lap Award gives a rider with the fastest lap times some real hardware, the Oakley Holeshot watch ($650-$750 Retail).
In years past, the O-Lap Award was given to riders with the fastest lap during “timed practice.” What has not changed is that “timed practice” for each class on Tuesday (March 17th) will place riders for their gate picks based on lap times. For 2015, the Oakley swag will be given to riders in select classes that have the fastest lap in their 2nd moto’s.
